the organizer at the fmsc place encouraged us to "tweet" or "facebook" that we packed 19,872 meals today.

I don't know what those words mean.

Great day running. I improved my time by 4 minutes, Rita looked great in her first run back since giving birth to Asher G., and Brandon got a PR on his half-marathon time.

Who wants in on next year's Illinois Marathon Relay?

Yeah for me -- I figured out how to get the ebooks from the libraries web site. I have expanded my capabilities for access to free books exponentially.

So I don't get them for even a week this summer? Sounds like a nice adventure for them though.

AAAaaaagh! We will miss having Veronica so close!

That being said, I'm sure the Omninvore's Dilemma was mine, but I do not need it back.

Bytheway, Daniela and Thomas are going to Chile for the summer, so anyone who wants to visit them needs to make some last minute plans now. Oh, maybe we should go see Veronica.

actually if the comic books have nice pictures I would be interested in them. I need to get back to tracing and painting. Also -- because I haven't formally said it. The gypsy in me has decided to move again and I have been promoted to the Controller of the Lincoln, IL plant. I will be starting there mid May. So anyone that wanted to visit NY needs to make some last minute plans now.

Cadillac Desert might be mine. I'll take that back.

Okay I'm really getting rid of the books this time. However I've found a copy of Cadillac Desert and Omnivore's Dilemma that I know aren't mine. Does someone want them back?

and we went hiking in the giant snow flakes and wind. It was fun, especially when we hit the ridgeline, but sorry, no photos.

The name of the episode from "Foyle's War" was "The Funk Hole". Merel
uses the closed captioning occasionally, sometimes with humorous
results.

Historical context

In the first year of the war, the British government made dire predictions of
the amount of bombing in major cities that would occur, and moved large
numbers of people out to the countryside. After a while, they reversed these
predictions, but certain people preferred to stay in their temporary lodgings,
out of danger, which they could do if they could afford to pay. Such hotels
and guest houses became known as "funk holes" because their residents'
actions were regarded as cowardice.

I got out and weeded today too, just a second of one of the boxes. Water grass had taken over so it's a lot of work.

I mowed with the push. Husqvarna has a flat that will be repaired tomorrow and we can finish mowing the rest. Garden is still only half weeded.

I did the same thing today. Mulch and grass seed. Dylan's been over-fertilizing the lawn.

I got 27th out of 64 women at my crossfit competition this weekend. 3 workouts complete. My favorite was being last to leave for the 800m run, and the first to finish it. Good Saturday. =)

Well deserved.

Did I mention that Lucy Minella is going to live with me starting May? No? Well, she is, and I feel as if life has come full circle. Dylan is very excited about it or is just excited about the peanut butter I just gave him. I can't decide.

Recycling! Actually there's 4 places. You also have the Recycling Ramp, that's on third. There's Recyclers-R-Us, that's on third too. Matter of fact, they're all in the same complex, it's the recycling complex on third.
